During a yin yoga session, participants hold relaxing poses for a bit longer, often supported by cushions or blankets. This helps release muscle tension and allows for deeper awareness in the body. The focus is on gently stretching the connective tissue and joints, which promotes increased space, flexibility, and balance. It feels like a well-deserved break—a deep breath for both the body and mind. Yin yoga helps release tension and blockages, allowing energy to flow more freely.
